新北市一名中年女子從韓國返台，出現發燒等症狀，送和平醫院，疾管署緊急會商，經討論後，認定不符合通報條件，予以排除MERS，
這名女子表示，在南韓旅遊期間曾去過爆發MERS院內感染的首爾三星醫院，救護人員昨晚立即將該女子及其出現發燒症狀的女兒，一同送聯合醫院和平院區，院方立即化驗她們的檢體。
據了解，這名出現發燒症狀的女性患者雖有去過韓國，但返台已一段時日，幾乎已過MERS病毒最可能發病的五至七天潛伏期限，醫界之前也研判染病機率不大。
